Brief description about the event:
Building on the success of last year, the theme for 2019 is: "Listen First - Listening to children and youth is the first step to help them grow healthy and safe." It is an initiative to increase support for prevention of drug use that is based on science and is thus an effective investment in the well-being of children and youth, their families and their communities.
The students and faculty of St. Martin’s Engineering College were participated in anti drug campaign in the college nearby areas with placards on 20th September,2019.Ch.Malla Reddy, Member of Parliament is the chief guest for this huge event to aware the public on the damage which is causing by the consumption of drugs.

Brief description about the event:
The St.Martins Engineering College has organized a Road safety development for 5k run Camp in Dhulapally for the staff teaching, non Teaching, Drivers, other contingency staff and Students for 500 members participated. The camp was started on 10th September 2019 with a formal inauguration programme at Dhulapally, formally welcomed the dignitaries. Principal Dr. P. Santosh Kumar Patra described the aim and objectives of camp and mentioned the expectations from volunteers in the camp.

Brief description about the event:
Telangana Haritha Hāram is a flagship programme of the Telangana Government envisages to increase the present 24% tree cover in the State to 33% of the total geographical area of the State, and it was formally launched by Telangana Chief Minister Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao On July 3rd 2015.. To overcome and repair the damage the Telangana government planned “Telangana Ku Haritha Haram” a movement by the Telangana government devoted for increasing the tree count or tree coverage area in each and every district of Telangana state. SMEC chairman Shri Marri Laxman Reddy, Principal Dr. P. Santosh Kumar Patra, HODs and the entire faculty planted the saplings in the campus on the occasion of world environment day on 15th July, 2019.

The St.Martins Engineering College has organized “Blood Donation Camp” program in the college Campus with support of Red Cross Society successfully. The camp was started on 14th June 2019 with a formal inauguration programme at campus Ms.S.GIRIJA, NSS Programme Officer, formally welcomed the dignitaries. Dr P.Santosh Kumar Patra Principal described the aim and objectives of camp and encouraged the volunteers to take up such noble causes.

Brief description about the event:
The Swach Bharath Program was conducted by SMEC students in Dhulapally village to create awareness in the people about the importance of clean and hygienic environment. Honorable Director Shri. M. Laxman Reddy Sir was the chief guest for this event. He also took part in this program to motivate the people, students and staff. He shared his experience to explain the benefits of clean surroundings. He explained how people fall sick due to ignorance of a clean environment and regular cleaning of surroundings.. He encouraged and motivated them to keep their surroundings clean in day to day life too We convey our sincere thanks to the Management, the Principal, the HODs of all departments, the Program Coordinator, Administrative staff, the Teaching Staff and students for making this event a grand success.

The St.Martins Engineering College has organized an awareness program on organ donation. The event was started on 10th December 2018 with a formal inauguration programme at campus. Dr P. Santosh Kumar Patra Principal, Guest of honor Shri M.Laxman Reddy garu described the aim and objectives of awareness program regarding Organ donation. OD is the process of surgically removing an organ or tissue from one person (donor) and placing it into another person (receipient). Of the overall deaths occurring annually in India, nearly one lakh deaths occur due to organ failure. Shortage of donor organs can be resolved by raising awareness and educating the youth about various aspects of OD since they comprise the majority of the population.

Brief description about the event:
The St.Martins Engineering College prepared an Action Plan on Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and organized many activities in the session 2017-18 and has planned to organize many more in the forthcoming session 2017-18.A team of Keep Institute Clean –KIC- an internal organization of the campus (list of the students is enclosed) was formed. The volunteers were distributed badges of KIC with responsibility to keep the institute campus and its surrounding clean. The event was started 11th January 2018 with a formal inauguration programme at campus Ms.S.GIRIJA, NSS Programme Officer, formally welcomed the dignitaries. Chief Guest Marri Laxman Reddy Chiarman, Principal Dr.P.Santosh Kumar Patra described the aim and objectives of camp and mentioned the expectations from volunteers in the camp.
